I think I am a better ghost than I am a human being

Near my school there is this huge old building and it hasn't been used for anything for ages and no one quite knows what it used to be anyway. But the other day someone had left the gates open and so me and my friend went in because we have a shared love for abandoned buildings  and neither of us wanted to go to pe. We spent an hour walking around taking pictures and worrying that the floors were going to collapse. It looked like people used to live there, but not for a long time because there were holes in the ceiling and a dead bird in the sink. We didn't dare try the metal ladder which went onto the roof and into the tower but the whole thing was so eerie and beautiful and mysterious and it looked like whoever used to be there had just left suddenly, leaving weird traces behind, like a still working piano and indecipherable lists on the walls.

  1. This looks so creepy but so so interesting. Kudos to you for going in though, I don't think I even would have walked through the gates! xo

    1. Haha yeah it was weird, although I was more scared of the building collapsing and the asbestos warning signs than anything creepy happening

  2. that building looks so creepy and I kind of I love it! A working piano?! that's amazing! I spend way too much time on the Wikipedia page for "abandoned theme parks," there's something about deteriorating buildings that is so interesting! Really beautiful and interesting post!

  3. THERE'S AN ABANDONED MR BLOBBY THEME PARK?! Oh my god why do I not know about this!? Have you heard of Nara Dreamland? There's also a blog dedicated to finding abandoned buildings in Scotland ( http://www.abandonedscotland.com/blog/ ) and I really want to explore some but I'm kind of scared of being caught by someone / falling to my death. x

Yessss I have if I ever get to go to Japan I'm so visiting it it looks like the scariest place ever but so cool. Oh my god that website is the coolest I wish I lived in Scotland now haha. Yeah I know there is this abandoned brewery near where I live and me and my friend want to go there but it looks scary haha. x

  4. IMAGINE RAVING IN A CREEPY MR BLOBBY HOUSE THING AH NEW LIFE GOALS. I'm so tempted to make a check list of loads of buildings and try to see them this summer but my friends have too much sense to join me wah. There's a a tiny abandoned island (LIKE A WHOLE ISLAND WITH A LIGHT HOUSE AND BUILDINGS AND STUFF) but a four hour journey and a lack of driving license/sweet boat sailing skillz stand in my way.. Ooh a brewery would be interesting! I wonder if there would be old brewery machinery stuff, like tanks or something? That would be so cool! x

    1. I KNOW IT WOULD BE TRIPPY AS HELL BUT ALSO SO WEIRD. Yes I know most of my friends are perfectly happy not to be climbing aroung dangerous old buildings which sucks kinda. Oh my god wow imagine that like a whole entirely empty island with a choice of creepy buildings. That sounds like absolute heaven although yes not being able to drive is a bummer. Yes hopefully, my friend has been before and she sent me pictures and it looked super cool although apparently there is a skinned dog in the basement which is a little horrifying. x

    2. I'd rather go to this Mr Blobby theme park over Disney Land any day. Ew a skinned dog nonono why would they even go to that much effort? I mean, find or kill a dead dog, skin it and then put it in a brewery basement of all places? I'd be far too lazy to be a psychopath.. I've put way too much thought into this omgomg. Keep me updated with this abandoned brewery thing though! It sounds exciting! If you don't blog about it then you could email me or something? x

    3. yeah same here. I know! Now you point it out it literally makes no sense. Mind you people are weird and maybe some just enjoy skinning dogs in basements? Who knows. Haha I will I might forget to take pictures if I do go but if there are any developments I will email you if I don't blog about it similarly if you have any derelict building news/ literally anything else you wanna talk about my email is in my profile xo

  6. Oooh it seems so fun and spoooky to to explore in an abandoned house. I feel like this house might a be a prime location for the next American Horror Story season lol. Or maybe a story about a bird keeper who is trapped in her walls??? Let me stop... I love these photos! :) xx
